There's something to be said about a person who knows they’re covered. Knowing that someone or something has your back is priceless and indescribable.

I’m one of those fortunate souls. I don’t come from money but I do come from love and support. Even at this big old age, my mom and dad are my covering. Having them present has given me the freedom to dream, to try new careers, new cities and states, and to do whatever whenever because I knew I had support and a soft space to land. I recognize that this is a privilege and I’m incredibly grateful for them.

Their covering has taken many forms but most recently, I realized some of the most significant instances have changed the trajectory of my life. This includes giving me the money to start my LLC., allowing me to move back home to save money and figure out my next move, supporting me in quitting my job to give entrepreneurship a shot full time, brainstorming what cities or states would be most conducive to my goals and mental health. This isn’t just "a list", though. This is a resume and report of their reliability. I don’t think twice or second guess if they will show up for me because history proves I can trust them.

Imagine if we gave our Heavenly Father that same kind of trust and were equally as confident in Him covering us as our earthly covering. Think about how He called and covered Abraham, Moses, Gideon, David, and Joseph.

But also think about the way He called them. When Moses and Gideon didn’t feel adequate- He spoke life into them. He spoke to the version of them He created them to be. David and Joseph, however, rose to the call with confidence. This tells us that whether you are “sure” about God’s ability to use you doesn’t matter because He is sure about you. Jesus sacrificed His life to cover us so that we would choose to do His will, accept the call, and move in faith.

So, what would you do differently if you knew you couldn’t fail? How would you move about the Earth if you were confident in earthly provision? If your parents, spouse, friends, etc. said, “Go for it, I got you.” Give God a chance to be that for you. Extend Him that level of confidence and trust. You can make excuses like Moses, be insecure like Gideon, or you can put on your coat and stand tall like Joseph and David. Whatever you do, trust Him enough to give Him your yes and go for it.

To my earthside covering...Thank You! Thank you for allowing me to grow, be, do, and become! I'm forever grateful. I Love You Both Beyond Words!
